Carpe Diem Haiku 536 – Pebble

http://chevrefeuillescarpediem.blogspot.se/2014/08/carpe-diem-536-pebble.html

I grew up in a seaside town, spending inordinate amounts of time on the beach skimming stones, digging holes and paddling around on the edges of the shipping lanes. The 70’s were a lot more relaxed about safety, now I think about it!

Taken from the beach,
could not the pebble consider
its place in this life?

Childhood, thrown away
by the gesture of a small
stone, tossed by first love.
