Carpe Diem Haiku Special 97 – Riversong

Finding myself unable to focus at the moment, full of doubts – how strange!

Song of the ancients

offers understanding and

gives to listeners.

Ancient voices sing

o’er earth’s bones and stone hearts beat

under water’s pulse.

  1. I particularly like the second one and your use of the body imagery for the earth and water. Running water sounds as though it’s talking but its talk is generally soothing.

Just an aside, “water’s”. Those pesky apostrophes!
