It’s that great time again when hands out the challenge to a myriad of like-minded souls: do your best!

So, I’ll give it a go!

Funny, she thought. Funny how the sticks in the mud mirror those blind white poles taunting me over there. Even the trees are caught in the plastic web of progress that is drifting across the only thing that separates me from humanity.

I don’t like it. She moves across the shore and tugs at the shopping trolley, tutting all the while at the ineptitude of the human race and the fact that her isolation is slowly becoming as redundant as she.

Silly cow, she chides, berating her young soul, Grab a cup of tea and stop being so grumpy…
